The Makeshift Movement in the local news.
On March 18, 2018, The Makeshift Movement accepted the Friends of the Oceanside Library Founders Day Award. At the second annual Founders Brunch, we were honored alongside Oceanside High School senior, Cory Nichols, who started C the Difference: Cory Cares, a 501(c)3 that provides monthly deliveries to local food pantries.
The award was presented to us by Christina Marra, Library Director. Thank you to the Friends of the Oceanside Library and its board for this great honor.
We also received certificates of merit from our friends Assemblyman Brian Curran, State Senator Todd Kaminsky, and Town of Hempstead Councilman Anthony D’Esposito. We thank these policymakers for their ongoing support.
